Tui đã nghe "Et pourtant" do Charles Aznavour hát từ lâu, từ thuở còn trẻ ở VN nhưng mới nghe Eldon Carter
hát lần đầu với điệu nhạc mới. Lạ & Hay!

NGƯỜI NGAY MẮC NẠN…

Người ta thường nói “Ở hiền gặp lành…” nhưng nay người ngay lại mắc nạn: Những Nhạc Phẩm Trữ Tình Ngoại Quốc - Phần 1 của Cậu Hai KiwiTeTua trên HQPD tự dưng biến đâu mất tiêu!

Thiên Lôi tui đã coi đi coi lại Sub-Forum Nhạc Ngoại Quốc thì thấy công lao trong bao năm trời của Cậu Hai đã không còn trên thế giới ảo, trong khi Nhạc Ngoại Quốc Chọn Lọc Của KhongQuan2 với 156 bản vẫn còn nguyên vẹn.

Thôi thì “của đi thay người”, Cậu Hai đừng buồn.

Nhân đây Thiên Lôi tui cũng xin có đôi lời đề cao cảm quan thưởng thức ca nhạc của Cậu Hai, đó là khả năng update những phiên bản mới, lạ của những ca khúc một thời được ưa chuộng; khác với Thiên Lôi tui vốn bảo thủ, chỉ biết nghe đi nghe lại ca khúc origin.

Chỉ có một trường hợp trừ là bản House of the Rising Sun của The Animals (1964) được Dolly Parton hát lại vào năm 1980, tui nghe rất “đã tai” (rất có thể vì tui vốn là fan của người nữ danh ca country music này).

Trở lại với bản Et Pourtant của Charles Aznavour, chắc hẳn Cậu Hai vẫn còn nhớ ông trình bày ca khúc này trong cuốn phim hài kịch & ca nhạc Cherchez l'idole (1964) một thời làm mưa gió trên màn bạc Hòn ngọc Viễn đông.

Cũng qua cuốn phim này, tui mới bắt đầu thích "cô bé" Sylvie Vartan (với bản La plus belle pour aller danser) còn trước đó tui chỉ nghe Françoise Hardy.
