Ewan Dobson has established himself as one of Canada’s most accomplished guitarists, having won first prize in nearly every classical guitar competition across the country. His list of credentials includes taking first place in both the Burlington Rotary Fall Music Festival and the Pickering Rotary Music Festival. In the summer of 2009, Dobson was crowned the Canadian Fingerstyle Guitar Champion at the 5th annual Canadian Fingerstyle Guitar Competition.
The development of Ewan Dobson into the artist that he is today has been an eclectic journey to say the least. Starting out play heavy metal and hard rock on his first electric guitar, Dobson has expanded his repertoire to include Bluegrass, Metal, Canadian folk, Techno, etc.. The culmination of all of these diverse influences has fuelled his musical creativity and succeeded in making him the captivating artist he is today.
In September and October of 2010, Dobson hit the road with fellow guitar virtuoso Antoine Dufour for his first Canadian tour that featured the legendary Don Ross.
After racking up 10 million YouTube views in 2011, Ewan Dobson released his third CD in three years to satisfy what had become an international army of devoted fans.Comment
