Why do men dance? What made men dance since early times? Why dance between men?
Many theories exist; ritual, religion, celebration, brotherhood, spiritual expression, war preparation, hunting practice or recreation and possibly sheer joie de vivre.
Featured are the world renowned tango dancers "Los Hermanos Macana" Though only in their twenties, the Argentine brothers Enrique and Guillermo De Fazio have become a famous dance couple. They are known worldwide for their breathtaking and witty tango interpretations. With their two-man shows they thrill their audiences at venues from the Americas, Europe and Australia.
The village of Yvoire was once a fishing and boatmen’s medieval port overlooked the Lake Geneva (Lac Léman in French). It's stone houses with wooden balconies and its narrow streets decked with Wisteria and Geranium flowers.
The Shoes on the Danube Promenade is a memorial concept by filmdirector Can Togay and was created by him and the sculptor Gyula Pauer on the bank of the Danube River in Budapest. It honors the Jews who were killed by fascist Arrow Cross militiamen in Budapest during World War II. They were ordered to take off their shoes, and were shot at the edge of the water so that their bodies fell into the river and were carried away. It represents their shoes left behind on the bank.
SUFI dance, performed by the Whirling Dervishes of Turkey. The dancers were essentially rotating around their own axis and through the movements, the dancers alternated the states of consciousness and mystical ecstasy, while their souls emerged from earthly ties to enter the kingdom of God.
