Untouchability & Casteism (Caste System) in India

The four primary castes are: (Bốn giai cấp xã hội chánh)
- Brahmin, the priests (sư sải đạo Hindu)
- Kshatriya, warriors and nobles (quý tộc & hiệp, võ sỉ, quân nhân)
- Vaisya, farmers, traders and artisans (địa chủ, thương gia)
- Shudra, tenant farmers and servants (nông dân, người làm)
Some people are born outside of (and below) the caste system. They are called "Dalits" or "untouchables". The people of this caste do all the low- paid and dirty jobs which the people of other castes do not want to do.
The lower caste people can't marry the people of upper castes. The children will belong to the same caste as their parents.

Một hạng người, ngoài 4 giai cấp kể trên. Họ được gọi là "Dalits" hay là "untouchables". Người ở giai cấp này thường làm những công việc thấp kém trả lương thấp, những việc mà 4 giai cấp kia chê, không làm.
Những người ở giai cấp thấp không được kết hôn với người ở giai cấp cao hơn. Con cái sanh ra sẽ thuộc giai cấp giống như cha mẹ........
.......con vua thì sẽ làm vua, con sãi thì sẽ quét lá đa, làm sãi suốt đời ......
