Cessna A 37 Dragonfly at Ilopango AirShow 2015

The Cessna A-37 Dragonfly manufactured by Cessna is an American light attack and reconnaissance aircraft nicknamed the Super Tweet. The A-37 Dragonfly was developed from the T-37 Tweet in the 1960s and 1970s. The maiden flight of the A-37 Dragonfly took place on the 22nd of October 1963 and it went into active service during the Vietnam War. While in service it was undergoing operational testing while in combat and given several notable modifications for the attack role. Primary users were the United States Air Force, South Vietnamese Air Force, Chilean Air Force and Peruvian Air Force. There were approx. 577 A-37 Dragonfly produced. The A-37 Dragonfly is still used for limited services by the South American Air Forces. Cost per unit was approx. 161,000 USD.
